CHANGES TO THE TOWN OF AMHERSTBURG DOG TAG LICENSING PROGRAM 2013
“TAG FOR A TOONIE” DOG TAG PROMOTION
The Town of Amherstburg has a new Dog By-law – 2012-104. The Dog By-law introduces a number of changes including an increase to the number of dogs permitted to allow for 3 dogs per residential dwelling unit. Please note that your property must be zoned residential in accordance with the Town’s Zoning By-law 1998-50, as amended. Please contact Town hall to confirm zoning.
In 2013 only, the Town will be reducing the Dog Tag licence fees to $2.00 per dog tag. In addition, those who purchase their tag by May 1st, 2013, will receive 10% when purchasing their 2014 dog tag(s) at regular price.
Licensing your dog(s) is law but also the sign of a responsible pet owner.
The fine for failing to licence your dog with the Town is $100.00
