2010 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

On October 25th electors across the Town of Amherstburg will exercise their right to vote in the 2010 Municipal Election and cast their ballots for Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Town Councillors, and School Board Trustees. Voting on October 25th gives you a choice over who will represent you and who will make decisions on your behalf about the facilities, programs and services offered in your community.

This web site is designed to keep voters and candidates informed on the various aspects of the municipal election. The Municipal Election Office is located at the City Clerk's Office, Town Hall, 271 Sandwich Street, Amherstburg.


When is the Election?

The municipal election will be held on Monday, October 25th.

What is the term of Council for those elected?

The term of Council is from December 1st, 2010 to November 30, 2014.

How can I run as a candidate for the 2010 election?


Candidate nomination papers are available at the Clerk’s Department located at 271 Sandwich Street, Amherstburg, Ontario during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Please refer to Candidate section of website for further information.
