Crossing Made Easy

Really - it's easy, but please note that the laws have changed! Effective June 1, 2009, U.S. and Canadian citizens will need either a passport or one of several other accepted forms of I.D. to drive to and from Windsor and Detroit. It really is easy to come to Canada and Amherstburg, any time-just make sure you have the appropriate documents to avoid any delays at the border! You can drive over the bridge or through the tunnel, just like you always have. Simply bring your passport, US passport card, enhanced driver's license, NEXUS card, or FAST/EXPRESS card, and you're good to go - and get back home, too!

You also need a passport if you're flying to Canada. And, with the ease of using the Windsor airport, and its gateway access to major highways, rail and air connections, it's a great option to consider!
