Garbage Collection

The Garbage Collection is currently a service Contracted to D.W. Crowder Trucking (519) 736-5643. All garbage should be placed roadside the night before your scheduled pick up day as collection starts as early as 4:00 a.m. Items such as boxsprings, mattresses and couches can be put out on a regular garbage day. All cardboard, including pizza boxes etc., will not be picked up with garbage collection and requires recycling.

White Goods include metal items such as appliances, air conditioners, hot water tanks, etc and are collected on the 4th Thursday of each month at no charge. Please phone (519) 736-3664 the week before to be placed on the list for pick up.

The Yard Waste Depot is located at the rear of the Public Works Building located at 512 Sandwich Street South and will be open three (3) days per week beginning Wednesday April 1, 2009 until Sunday November 29, 2009 as follows:

• Wednesdays: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Sundays: 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

Grass clippings, garden waste, brush and tree trimmings (cut and bundled in four foot lengths) can be dropped off to the Yard Waste Depot.
