The governments of Ontario and Canada offer programs which provide tax incentives and wage subsidies for employers.  Please click on the program title for direct access to funding program details.

  • Cooperative Education Tax Credit (CETC)
    Provides a tax credit for 10 per cent of salary or wage to a maximum of $1,000 per three month work placement for student in cooperative education or leading-edgbe technology programs.
  • Ontario Job Connect
    Provides a wage subsidy to enable employers to hire and provide on-th-job-training.  This program is provided by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
  • Federal Targeted Wage Subsidy
    Provides a wage subsidy for up to on year (maximum 60 per cent of wages paid), to hire individuals re-entering the workforce.
  • Ontario Employer Heath Tax (EHT)
    Provides eligible employers exemption from paying Employer Health Tax on some, or all, of their annual total Ontario payroll.
    You may be able to claim up to $500 per child for the fees paid in 2009 that relate to the cost of registering your child in a prescribed program of physical activity.
